About me

As a young kid I joined scouting through the first year of cub scouts.  Once my son joined scouting over 12 years ago I  myself got more involved.  Since then, I have been a Scoutmaster of a large 42 scout troop for 4.5 years, Currently an Assistant District Commissioner as well as serving as Assistant Program for the 2024 NYLT course here in Iowa.  I am the proud dad of two Eagle Scouts and soon to be three.   While this site is dedicated to scouting, I plan to expand it past that into cooking and much more.
